Author Thanks Readers for Making New Book a Local Bestseller

The new book Fisher Peak Chronicles is proving to be one of the bestselling books at local bookstores this fall.  Author Keith G. Powell invites readers to come by Coles Books in the Tamarack Centre this Saturday, December 20th, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., to share their Mount Fisher experiences, if they would like to.

“This will be my last book signing of the year, so I’d like to invite people to stop by and bring their own Fisher Peak stories if they like,” said Keith G. Powell.  “As well, I would like to personally thank everyone who has been so enthusiastic about the new book.  I look forward to hearing more of your mountain stories, seeing your photos or just saying hello.”

Powell added, “It has been very exciting to hear that so many people have been enjoying Fisher Peak Chronicles.  According to Erin Dalton, owner of Lotus Books in downtown Cranbrook, Fisher Peak Chronicles has been the store’s bestselling book this fall.”

A recent book reviewer of the Fisher Peak Chronicles called the new book, “an intricately woven and well told tale.” Many others have especially enjoyed the over 70 historical and contemporary photos contained in its pages.

“I would like to extend a tremendous thank you to everyone who has been so generous in contributing their stories and pictures to the book.  I know this local input is what really makes Fisher Peak Chronicles so popular with readers,” said the author.

The new book is published through the author's own publishing company, Wild Horse Creek Press.  Keith G. Powell has also written and published two other books, Living in the Shadow of Fisher Peak and Raising Kain, the adventurous life of Conrad Kain.

You are invited to stop by Coles Books in the Tamarack Centre this Saturday afternoon during the book signing. Please feel welcome, if you like, to share your own Fisher Peak stories and photos.
